RSV is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Although no treatment or vaccine currently exists, RSV therapeutics and preventative strategies are being evaluated in clinical trials, including phase 3 trials. Despite great prospects, the regulatory pathways of novel RSV therapeutics have been defined insufficiently.
